Our off grid sanctuary situated on over an acre on the South Pacific Coast of Nicaragua nestled in the hills with ocean and mountain view. Step outside to a wonderland filled with abundant plant life, monkeys, birds & diverse wildlife.
The property is located in Las Fincas de Escamequita, a sustainable community located on over 400 acres of nature and animal reserve. There are only a handful of homes in this community and our nearest neighbor is about 3/4 mile away. Our property embodies tranquility and pureness.
Surrounded by nature… Indigenous trees, plants and wildlife everywhere you look. Breathtaking hikes right from our doorstep. Monkeys swinging on the trees right on the property. Tons of beautiful birds singing while you enjoy the breeze. The lot is located on a ridge so the breeze keeps the air fresh. This is a unique opportunity to live in a community off-grid community powered by solar and wind energy. It’s all surrounded by hundreds of local plants and trees and is right in the middle of the jungle.
If you are looking to reconnect and rejuvenate this is the place. No distractions. No stress. Immerse yourself in nature and grow from this vacation to Nicaragua.
One of the most popular attractions in the area is Rancho Chilamate, offering amazing horseback tours of our beautiful countryside and gorgeous beaches. There are also a few local restaurants that are amazing and walking distance. Rancho Tere is about a 15-20 minute walk and has delicious local favorites and a bar. Llomas Del Bosque is about 2-3 km away and has free wifi and great food and drinks.
There are 2 beaches that are walkable. Playa Yankee and Playa Escamequita. Both are about a 30-45 minute walk and offer unique landscape. Yankee is a gem for surfers and is secluded and private. Very likely you will go and be the only people on the beach except for a beach dog or 2. There are wonderful tidal pools and rocks on parts of the beach. This beach has a security guard daily.
Playa Escamequita is a local favorite. This beach has a crystal clear river that meets the Pacific and is just beautiful. The local kids from the neighborhood will be here swimming and playing soccer. Sunsets at any beach in the area is amazing. Some other beaches that are close but not quite walkable are Playa Hermosa, Playa Remanso and Playa Coco. All beautiful and unique as well.
